Challenging unnecessary industrial production by promoting artisanal, handcrafted, environmentally sustainable clothing.
Slowing down for our future. Current fashion trends have made consumers an addict of fast fashion – cheap trendy clothes that make you fit in. What the consumers fail to understand is that their consumption pattern makes an impact on the environment : a devastating one. We at Ekaja , aim to educate our consumers about slow fashion and how, as consumers, their actions and consumption pattern will help us make the world a better place to live in for their day out.
Ekaja is young, driven by passion and also with a mission to drive slower consumption. Based out of Siliguri in West Bengal and created during the pandemic the brand endeavors to make everyone, and especially the youth, firm believers in Slow Fashion through its high-quality and custom-made apparel. From power pieces to minimal and breathable shirts, the motive is to make sustainable fashion the only fashion that exists. and boys don’t have to wear blues and blacks with superheroes on them. Keeping in mind these aesthetics, as well as the need for businesses to be ethical and answerable to future generations and the planet, gave birth to Miko Lolo : clothes that look good and feel great.
Ekaja was founded in 2020 by Drishti Agarwal, as a way to re-think responsible production and consumption of fashion through sustainable alternatives. She is a firm believer in ”buy better, buy less” and ”fashion with a cause” philosophy and encourages the youth to bring about a change through their mindful actions. Therefore, Drishti’s mission is to help everyone make that eco-switch through sustainable and low impact alternatives to fast fashion.
